The Advanced Course has helped me enormously to support my elder son. I was delighted when the advanced course was brought out so that I can learn more to help my children and, in time, to support other children with similar difficulties, as a tutor or special needs teacher. (S.M., Buckinghamshire, UK).
Many thanks for so many extra techniques to use in school. Brilliant! (LR.A., New York, USA).
The Advanced Ceritificate course is even better than the dyslexia course, which I found very interesting. Excellent book, understandable language, well organized and structured material. Thank you for the oppostunity! (I.Z., Mavrohori- Kastoria, Greece).
I have just completed the Advanced Course in teaching children with dyslexia. I began the Dyslexia Certificate course in September and found it very informative. The Advanced course was more challenging but I learned even more. I believe what I have learned will help me with students who have dyslexia as well as students who are struggling in reading, spelling, or math. (P.H., Lexington, Ohio.)
I have enjoyed my studies immensely, despite my initial feelings that I wouldn't have a thing more to write about dyslexia after having done the Dyslexia Certificate course. How wrong was I? Many thanks for your encouragement. (L.C., Queensland, Australia).
Thank you for a wonderful course, which I have really enjoyed. I have learned a great deal of information which will be very useful for me as an individual, a mother and also as a remedial therapist.
This course has put a lot of things into perspective and this will allow me help these special children even better. Thank you very much for all your kind remarks and positive feedback that you have been giving me throughout the course.
I really have benefitted so much and it has inspired me to continue the love I have for working with dyslexic children. I am applying what I have learnt and already I can see the rewards. Thank you! (M.G., Gauteng, South Africa).
I am dyslexic myself and had to be taken out of kindergarten and put into a specialist dyslexic school for six years. After that I was put back into the normal schooling system.
I was almost kicked out on numerous times due to my grades being so low. It was very tough but I managed to scrape through with extra help. I went onto university and had help from the government, after a few years I moved to Japan and became an English teacher.
I found this to be very tough for two reasons, one that my dyslexia made me make more mistakes than my students and two that the teaching method was terrible.
After much soul searching I decided that I wanted to help other dyslexic children and adults but I wanted to do this in Japan and needed to learn more and get some kind of official certificate.
After searching for a course I found this one. Eventually I want to get my Masters in Dyslexia after teaching and studying more, (T.P., Japan)
