Teachers
As a
mainstream teacher who has completed the Dyslexia Certificate course, you may wish to learn advanced skills for working with dyslexic children. The Advanced Certificate course course will provide you with further advanced training. The course focuses on further practical techniques and strategies which
are known to raise achievement levels in dyslexic children and teenagers. .
Parent
with a dyslexic child in school
If your child is experiencing
difficulties with reading, spelling or math/s in school, the course will give
you: - the advanced
skills you need to assist them with their homework, reading, spellings, and math/s
work at home;
- advanced methods
to overcome the particular blocks to learning that a dyslexic child experiences;
- advanced techniques to improve their difficulties with short-term memory, visual tracking, phonics, reading, math/s, etc.;
- the knowledge
and understanding you need when you approach the school to see that everything
possible is done to assist your child's learning.

Needs teachers
As
a teacher of children with some kind of learning difficulties in your school,
you may feel that the training you have received is not up to date. You are in
contact with dyslexic children (possibly undiagnosed) every day, and you want
to learn more about exactly how their learning needs can be addressed. The DyslexiaAdvanced Certificate course will give you an advanced understanding of dyslexia, and
advanced, up to date techniques that can bring about a turning point in a dyslexic child's learning.

course will give you an advanced body of knowledge and practical teaching techniques from which you

Now that you have completed the Dyslexia Certificate course, you may feel that you wouldlike to equip yourself with more advanced and up to date techniques to assist your child.
The Advanced Certificate course will give you the confidence you need to use advanced teaching methods now that you are your child's main teacher.
Private
tutors
As a private tutor, you
are probably already teaching dyslexic children or teenagers - though they may
be undiagnosed. You may find that suitable advanced training courses are not available
locally. The Direct Learning Dyslexia Advanced Certificate course will allow you to make an assessment of possible
dyslexia in a child and to broaden your range of advanced teaching techniques.
It will also give you greater confidence and knowledge of dyslexia when dealing
with a child's school, and will allow you to advise parents on how to approach
their child's homework and self-confidence.

a classroom or learning support assistant, you may feel that, whilst you are the main teacher for many dyslexic children in school, you do not have enough professional
