SPECIALIST DYSLEXIA BOOKSHOPS AND PUBLISHERS

• • • Better Books - UK bookshop specializing in books on dyslexia or for dyslexic children. Supply books worldwide and also undertake displays of books for UK dyslexia associations, etc.

• • • Whurr Publications - academic books and journals for professionals - communication disorders, dyslexia and special education, audiology, nursing, occupational therapy, etc.

Special Needs Project Bookstore - Special Needs Project is a place to get books about disabilities. Located in Santa Barbara, California, SNP serves families, professionals, agencies and schools worldwide with the largest, most authoritative collection of disability-related materials. (USA)

PRO-ED - publishes, produces, and sells books, curricular therapy materials, tests, and journals. (USA)

Educators Publishing Service (EPS)

Allyn and Bacon - leading publisher of college textbooks and professional resources, and one of the more innovative publishers in Education, Social Science, and the Humanities. Their publication 'Dyslexia - Neuropsychological Theory, Research and Clinical Differentiation' by Hynd and Jones is essential reading if you're at or above Master's level in dyslexia, though their website is fairly impenetrable, I'm afraid. (John Bradford)

LDLearning.com - on-line source of specialized educational materials.

Penguin Books (USA) Penguin Books (UK) - broad-based publisher, with some books on dyslexia and learning.
